Lake Forest , Yercaud

This time we happened to make a trip to Yercaud, the reason was to stay in INDeco Lake Forest Resort which is middle of orange groves, coffee, fruits and spice plantations.  

There is a liberal sprinkling of genuine antiques all over the hotel premises

Rooms are designed as old style English homes during British era .Recalls history. Nice weather surrounded by coffee plantations. Nature is protected well and good. we can hear the true sounds of nature. The guest bungalows are set in the “East Lynn Farm Estate” in and around the “Bungalow” built during early 1800s by Henrietta Charlotte Rosario who was residing in the Shevaroy hills.

The decor is very tasteful reflecting the rustic charm of Yercaud.

Natures Touch : Amaram Kavu | Kolani

Kerala’s blessed locales have been generously showered with immense beauty. Am sharing a beautiful place near by my home called Amaramkavu, Thodupuzha,Kerala.

 Surrounded by acres of forest containing 1000 year old trees. There is a small Vana Durga temple situates in the middle of forest. There is a clear path gives to the temple for the deities. 

The smoky swirls rising from the flickering flames of burning camphor carrying with them a signature smell. The sharp, strong and invigorating fragrance of burning camphor, agarbathies will unlock our memories of those countless visits to the temples, Isn't it ?

Everywhere surrounded with trees and greens which we could never get elsewhere.  These are some of the elements of nature that turn on the innate human feeling of love and relaxation.

The trees here, are not taken for any purpose. 

Fall in love with the place. Come and Experience, evergreen and ever clean!

Colorful bliss on canvas : Alamelu Annhamalai

Artists convey their imagination through various art forms, one of them being paintings.

Through this blog today, I would like to introduce to you a young artist/painter, Alamelu Annhamalai from Chennai. At 24, with a degree in Visual Arts from Stella Maris College, Chennai, she has always loved creativity which led her to painting.

 In a short span she has participated in many exhibitions where she has displayed her intricate and  mesmerizing works.

 Recently she conducted her first solo exhibition "A Soldier of Hope" at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai,inaugurated by Mr. Rajiv Menon and Mrs. Latha Menon.

Her work is inspired by her interaction with from various walks of life, their behavior, and her own hands on experience from life as such apart from drawing inspiration from other artists.
