Chinmaya Tarangini Matsyalaya Temple, Chennai

Am taking you to a spiritual place Chinmaya Tarangini. One has to visit and  experience the beauty-serenity of the place. Right at the sea shore, Bay of Bengal, the place resonates with sound of sea

It is a meditation complex with a distinguished presence of Lord Matsya Narayana. The architectural beauty of the place is enhanced by the carved granite stones.

There are 108 stone pillars surrounding the majestic 12 feet deity, with the entire Vishnu Sahasranamam inscribed on the pillars, along with its meaning.

The temple is without any ceiling or walls, open to the sky and the sea !

There are also altars to Hanuman, Ganesha and Lord Shiva (it is rare to find deities of Lord Vishnu and Shiva at the same place).

Built in stone and hues of grey and black, this temple creates an illusion of being dated back many centuries, transporting us back into time.

Do Note the visiting times 8:30AM - 10:00AM, 5:00PM - 8:30PM.

Calm and quiet place on the beach..only sound you will hear is the roaring of waves. Liked the concept of open air temple with granite pillars and well maintained garden. Nice place to spend an evening meditating or spiritual thinking or just to play in a clean beach..!! Really a surprise package as it made us forget the hustle & bustle of city life.
