Seven Hills Beauty Shimla

We had gone to Shimla last year,No wonder if Shimla has ranked 27th in the first ever cleanliness ranking of cities in India. Shimla is built on top of seven hills. Toy train to shimla was a very good experience,Probably, one of the great train rides in the world. It takes 5 hours to crawl through over 100 tunnels and many switch back bends to climb from the plains to Shimla station.

Theme dustbins are nicely placed all around the town at short distances which ensures that people use nothing other than bins to dispose their garbage.
Shimla declared Non -Smoking city

The Ridge and the Mall Road are the most popular places in Shimla

Flat area with an array of shops and eateries and sequence of shops that are ideal for shopping of gifts, woolen and wood items in lower bazaar and lakkar bazaar.

Lower Bazaar

Shop in Lakkar bazaar

The Jakho temple of god hanuman is 108 metres tall, visible from almost every corner of the town.
Mall Road

The locally brewed apple, plum, apricot, cider, ginger and grape wine are also sold on the Mall Road

Other sacred places to visit in shimla are kali bari temple and the tara devi temple, sankat mochan, chail, mashobra, kufri, narkanda. I had covered almost famous  resturents in Shimla, If you are planning a trip to shimla Please do note, Cafe Sol,Hotel Combermere, Cafe Shimla Times,Wake n Bake,Sita Ram n Sons,Tripti and Embasseey are the places. Most of them are theme based restaurants. I shall post  with detail description shortly.

I bought a Himachal cap as a souvenir. From the mall road, I was able to get a spectacular view of Shimla.

It certainly won’t be easy to forget this beauty that lies just beyond the border.

Hope you liked the amazing clean city of India.

Excellent post and some beautiful pictures. Do continue writing more about your trips and hopefully will motivate people to travel places!
I had been there myself couple of years back during December which is a great time to visit if you love Snow and cold :-) The most beautiful thing is to watch the Shimla town sitting in your hotel balcony at night with a coffee in hand! A must visit place!
